Frames are seperate pages that your internet browser combines to display your website. Usually framed websites are made up of 2 or 3 frames. As an example a 2 frame would consist of a navigation frame and a content frame.
When a search engine looks at this website it will look for the most relevant page which will be the page with the content on. When a browser clicks the link on the search engine they will be directed to page just containing the content.
But where is the navigation? Gone, as search engines struggle to support frames. With this in mind what do you think your customer will do when face with a page full on content and no navigation? You’ve potentially lost a customer.
We offer services that cover removing your website frames from the site. Take a look at our website optimization services to find out more.
